IT Support Engineer (in Belgium)

We are currently looking for an additional Test IT Support Engineer(s) for 2nd/3rd line support for our customers. You are a passionate, customer-oriented problem solver, but you will have the possibility to broaden and specialize your skills in software development and implementation as well.

As a Test Automation Engineer you:

  • Are part of the team and act as a team member
  • Respond to the questions of our partner/client within the given time limit
  • Are part of a 24/7 rotation shift in standby mode
  • Respond to requests for technical assistance via phone or electronically
  • Diagnose and resolve technical hardware and software issues
  • Research questions using available information resources
  • Advise users on appropriate actions
  • Follow standard help desk procedures
  • Redirect problems to the correct resource
  • Identify and escalate situations requiring urgent attention
  • Track and route problems, requests and document resolutions
  • Inform management of recurring problems
  • Stay up to date with system information, changes, and updates
  • Maintain the quality of the relationship with the customer

Additionally, you can (learn to/about):

  • Install and configure Linux servers
  • Monitor available system resources
  • MongoDB structure
  • Create and manage the database, collections, documents and indexes

Why you are the Test Automation Engineer we've been looking for:

Required technical skills & knowledge:

  • ITIL service desk experience or eager to be trained in service desk processes
  • Analytically strong
  • Excel power query + VB skills
  • Linux and MongoDB (0 – 2 years of experience)
  • Interested in Linux server management

Additional skills we like to see:

  • PHP
  • MySQL database
  • Web server Apache – Nginx
  • Knowledge of relevant call tracking applications
  • Interest in smart mobility solutions
